Double Braid
Nylon
Double braided nylon ropes are a high tensity rope with good abrasion and UV resistance. This rope has good shock absorbing properties. Nylon's high elongation properties make it ideal in applications involving shock loads.
Other positive qualities of this rope include:
-
easy to knot.
-
soft feel on your hands.
-
high strength.
-
resistant to rot and deterioration.
-
Stocking diameters include 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" & 5/8".
-
Because of its flexibility, nylon is able to maintain its strength despite withstanding high levels of stress.
Weaknesses:
Nylon is not the best for wet environments. Although nylon is normally a very strong rope, its strength becomes compromised when wet, causing it to sag.
Nylon is not suitable for extremely high temperatures. Though you're likely never going to work under this condition, it is important to note that nylon rope will begin to degrade at 250℉. (Polyester, on the other hand, can’t withstand heat up to 275℉.)
Sold by the foot or in reel lengths.

Polyester
Double braided polyester ropes are a high tensity rope with good abrasion and UV resistance. Polyester's low-stretch qualities make it ideal for use for awnings, flagpoles, bundle ties, and tie-down requirements.
